Dalton’s Premier Kids Basketball Program
At Dalton Cats Youth Basketball, we are more than just a basketball organization. We are a developmental program that prepares young athletes for success in basketball and life.
As a feeder program for Dalton Public Schools, we focus on:
Confidence
Commitment
Character
Discipline
We train kids to be responsible and disciplined citizens by applying the principles of basketball to real-life situations. Our players don’t just learn to dribble, pass, and shoot. They develop leadership, responsibility, and work ethic that will serve them throughout life.

Skills Development – Helping young athletes master the fundamentals of the game.

alton Cats Youth Basketball was created when a group of experienced basketball coaches in Dalton came together to establish a youth travel basketball program for boys and girls in the community.
We are an AAU travel basketball feeder program for Dalton Public Schools, dedicated to developing young athletes into skilled players while preparing them for basketball at the highest level possible.
While our primary mission is to develop outstanding student-athletes, we also aim to provide the tools necessary to excel beyond basketball. A student-athlete who is respectful, disciplined, and has integrity will always be our priority.
Our program is built on the support of dedicated parents, coaches, and community members who believe in providing opportunities for youth to grow both as players and as individuals.
Our Need for Community Support
We rely on community support to provide student-athletes with the resources they need. Our top funding priorities include:
- Tournament fees to allow our players to compete at the highest level
- Uniforms and equipment to ensure a professional appearance
- Travel expenses for our AAU program
Many of our athletes face financial hardships and are unable to afford the costs associated with developing their skills and participating in competitive tournaments. As a nonprofit organization, we do not require players to cover these expenses. Instead, we depend on sponsorships and community contributions to keep the program accessible to all youth.
